Drugstore Cowboys formed in early 2012. Featuring the controlled and witty song writing, lead guitar and vocals by Hans Wenklert, The Drugstore Cowboys play a smooth texture of blues and rock.
With the introduction of Carl LaBorde to Hans by longtime friend and bullet tight percussionist Doug Belanger this blues rock project got off the runway to a flying start.
Immediatly kicking off a colabrative mix of duo guitar work and lead playing Carl fell into the crafty song structures with simple amazment. With the combined elements together Drugstore Cowboys deliver one of the best sounds in the Detroit Metro area.
With Hans’s brutaliy honest rasp in his vocals he delivers right-on clever lyrics with melodies that whirl and surround the musical structure of flowing backbeats. In conbination with impecable lead skills, Hanz is the master volume behind The Drugstore Cowboys.
